Hilda Mumbi is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in the Bay area, San Francisco.

Hilda has over 15 years of health care experience, primarily in clinical healthcare in both acute care and outpatient settings. Proven ability to lead and motivate others. Strong communication skills used in hospitals settings such as nursing, teaching, customer service, healthcare management and mental health operations. Hilda’s vast experience allows her to focus in providing holistic care in the underserved population.

Owing to her passion for mental health wellness, Hilda has volunteered at a women’s shelters and transitional housing which has fueled her interest in this arena. Hilda has a personal history of domestic violence. She recently founded Faraji House to offer a safe space, case management and faith based wellness programs for women who have suffered Intimate Partner Violence (Domestic Violence) in San Francisco. Hilda likes to work with her clients to create individual treatment plans that include medication, lifestyle changes, and other recommendations based on their needs. She believes in creating a safe therapeutic space for individuals to receive treatment.

Hilda is a member of The Vallejo Rotary club where she upholds the values of service, fellowship, diversity, integrity and leadership. Under the motto service above self. Hilda is passionate about making positive change, helping people, and promote healthy lifestyle. Hilda is inspired daily by her daughter, sisters and mom. In her free time Hilda likes to hike, cook, and row whale boats.
